Baltimore Checkerspot Caterpillars

Giant Swallowtails, Monarchs and Baltimore Checkerspot Butterflies are all still on the endangered list.  At Crieff we have begun a Polliator garden that contains host plants for the caterpillars of each of these species.  The Polliator garden at Crieff is located on the hillside between the Conference Hall and St. Luke's lodge.

This week five Baltimore Checkerspot caterpillars where brought to the Crieff Polliator garden and introduced to its host plant, the Turtle Head.
